Clippers-Blue Devils game suspended in bottom of the 8th

Lightening struck twice in the 8th inning but the second time wasn’t as beneficial to the Clippers as play was halted in the bottom of the 8th inning in Columbiana’s game against the Lisbon Blue Devils.  With the score 11-6 in the bottom of the 8th, and lightening all around in the area, play was halted with two outs and one strike on the hitter.  Lisbon has runners on 1st and 3rd and have already pushed one run across the plate.  The Clippers scored 6 runs in the top of the 8th highlighted by Tim Davin’s grand slam.

The two teams will resume play on Wednesday April 26th in Lisbon.  The two squads will finish the current game and will play another game following its conclusion.  The second game will be a non-league matchup.
