Columbiana (10-1, 4-1) hosted the Lisbon Blue Devils (8-3, 3-0) on Tuesday afternoon in a big ITCL White Division matchup. The Blue Devils responded after being down early and put the game away with a six run seventh inning. Logan Bell pitched a complete game for Lisbon giving up three hits and striking out six.
Jake Clark (2-1) started for Columbiana and pitched four+ innings giving up three runs (two ER) on six hits while striking out five. Zach Fahs and Dustin Bennett finished the game for the Clippers on the mound.
At the plate, Chase Franken, Mitch Davidson and Keenan Green each collected one hit. Davidson had an RBI knocking in Seth Ross after Ross had reached on a hit by pitch in the third to give the Clippers and early lead. Lisbon, however responded with a run in the fourth, two in the fifth and six in the seventh to reach the final margin.
Both teams will face off again tomorrow in Lisbon. First pitch is scheduled for 5 pm.
