Both the Varsity and Froshmore squads picked up wins on Wednesday. Varsity over Wellsville 26-4; Froshmore over Lowellville 18-6.

Senior Sam Inboden had 3 hits, which included a 2-run blast to centerfield (his second homer of the year); he totaled 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Along with Young’s 4-RBI day, the sophomore Lehnerd too had a quadruple RBI game on his 2 hits, which included a double. The Clippers also had multi-hit performances from senior Hunter Davanzo (3 RBIs), juniors Nick Klindworth (3 RBIs, 4 runs) and Rocco Mediate, and sophomores Liam McElwain (2 RBIs, 3 runs) and Beckett Wilson (RBI, 3 runs). Junior Drennen Bosela added a double and drove in 3 and scored 3 himself. And, senior Ashton McCullough recorded his first career varsity hit with a double to right center in the 4th inning (he also had an RBI and scored 2 runs).

The Froshmore squad headed to Bob Cene Park to take on Lowellville and they too won by a large margin. Freshman Stephen Varkony got the start and went 2 innings. He struck out 5 in that time before handing the ball over to fellow freshmen Carter Griffith and Carson Chaney. Chaney struck out 4 in his 2 innings of work, while allowing no hits or runs.

Varkony had 3 hits for the Clippers, including a double, while driving in 3 and scoring 2 runs himself. Fellow freshman Jackson Davis followed with a pair of hits, and he too had a trifecta in the RBI department. Five other Clippers recorded a hit: sophomores Ayden Dennison, Eric Nelson (2 runs scored), Thatcher Smith (RBI and 2 runs scored), and freshmen Jameson Neal (2 RBI) and Roman Sanfrey (3 runs scored). The freshman Chaney also recorded an RBI. Freshmen Jacob Conway and Carter Griffith also crossed the plate twice each.
