The Clippers went their separate ways on Wednesday with the Varsity squad staying home and the JV squad heading to Springfield. The scores went in separate directions as well, with the varsity winning 20-0 over Southern and the JV dropping to Springfield 12-2. Sophomore Ethan Lehnerd got the start for varsity and fellow sophomore Thatcher Smith got the start for JV. Both gave valiant efforts, with Lehnerd throwing a complete game (5-inning mercy rule) no-hitter. His only blemishes were 3 hit batters. Smith allowed only 2 hits across his 4 & 1/3 innings.
