Columbiana (11-4, 5-1 EOAC) got back on the winning side of things with a 17-6 defeat of East Palestine at Next Level Sports Complex Monday evening.
The Clippers had 17 hits including 6 doubles. Riley McElwain led the way going 4-4 with two doubles. Alex Esubeio was 3-4 with a double. Ian Less and Carson Dota each had two hits including a double. Ed Clancy also doubled for Columbiana.
Brady Kridler picked up his first win of the year pitching 3 hitless innings striking out 3. Trevor Dearing, Clancy, and Devin Daugherty also pitched for the winners. The four combined for 13 strikeouts on the evening.
Columbiana will take on United Tuesday afternoon. The game will pick up in the top of the second inning with United up 3-1. Currently, both squads sit tied for first in the EOAC with one loss apiece.
