Fitch Hands Clippers 3rd Straight Loss

Columbiana (10-3) traveled to Austintown Friday afternoon and suffered a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Fitch Falcons.

Riley McElwain (2-1) got the start and pitched five innings allowing five earned runs while scattering five hits and striking out two in the loss.  Brady Kridler pitched a perfect sixth inning striking out two in his first action on the mound this season.

At the plate, Columbiana had opportunities but stranded the bases loaded in the first and runners at 2nd and 3rd in the fourth inning.  Brady Kridler collected the lone hit for Columbiana.

The Clippers will travel to Middlefield tomorrow to take on the Cardinal Huskies.  Game time is set for 11 AM.
