Columbiana (12-4, 8-0 EOAC) took another step toward the EOAC championship with a 10-0 five inning victory over Wellsville Monday afternoon.
Leading the way for Columbiana was Zachary Pleska. Pleska (3-0) got the start on the bump and went the distance allowing just one hit while striking out 12 and walking just one Tiger. Pleska also helped himself at the plate going 2-2 on the day including a double and two runs scored. Seth Spooner was also a big contributor offensively. Spooner was 3-3 including a triple and an RBI. Cameron Sloan and Tyler Andersen each scored two runs for the victors.
The Tigers and Clippers will close out the series tomorrow in Wellsville. First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM.
