Coach Wilson’s squad took it to the Springfield Tigers this evening at Legion Field; running away with a 5-inning 18-5 victory. Freshman Thatcher Smith got the ball and gave the team four strong innings. Smith struck out 6 Tigers en route to earning the Win. Sophomore Drennen Bosela came on for the fifth to slam the door. Bosela struck out 2 in his inning of work.
AT THE PLATE: Sophomore Rocco Mediate – 2 doubles, 4 RBIs… Sophomore Aiden Quintus – a double, 3 RBIs… Freshman Beckett Wilson – 2 hits, 4 runs… Senior William Bucci – a hit, 2 RBIs, 2 runs… Sophomore Drennen Bosela – a hit, 2 RBIs, 2 runs… Junior Ashton McCullough and sophomore Nick Klindworth (4 runs) each had a hit and an RBI.
The JV squad will be back in action on Thursday against Crestview at Eastwood Field in Niles. The varsity squad will travel to East Palestine tomorrow for a HUGE EOAC matchup! #fightANDflight
