In the type of weather that has pretty much become the norm for this 2025 season, the varsity squad went to Leetonia on Friday evening and took care of business in six innings, for an 11-0 final. Junior Sam Inboden got the ball for his third start of the season and earned his second win, going the distance for a 3-hit shutout. Inboden would strike out 7 Bears on the night.
AT THE PLATE: Sophomore Avery Young – 3 hits, including a double, 2 runs… Senior Max Conway – 2 hits, including a double, an RBI, 2 runs… Senior Daniel Goehring – 2 hits… Seniors Reese Roush (2 RBIs), Zane Strohecker, and Blake Unger (an RBI) and freshmen Ethan Lehnerd and Liam McElwain (an RBI) all added singles.
Both the varsity and JV squads are back in action today for a varsity/JV doubleheader at Girard.
