Clippers and a Tornado Warning End Things Early on Wednesday

It certainly did not take long for the Clippers to jump out to a big lead over Southern Local on Wednesday. A lead so big that after the game needed to be called due to weather, the Indians conceded. Sophomore Sam Inboden got the start for Columbiana, and after allowing a hit, worked his way out of the first inning with no runs. Then, in the bottom of the first inning, the bats exploded for the Clippers. Scoring 11 runs on 8 hits, Columbiana jumped out to an enormous lead, and the thunder came before the third out of the bottom of the first was even recorded. That would turn out to be all the Clippers and Indians would play for the night, as the Clippers would walk away with an 11-0 conceded victory.

Inboden earned his first career win on the mound for his inning of work. Senior Alex Eusebio recorded two hits in his two at-bats, including a 2-RBI double. Junior Max Conway also smoked a double, which brought in a run. Other Clippers with hits were: seniors Ian Less and Devin Daugherty (Devin would hit a sacrifice fly for an RBI later in the inning), junior Eli Masters (first career hit and RBIs; 2), sophomore Hunter Davanzo (single and first career RBI), and freshman Avery Young. Senior Colin Keleman would hit the other sac fly of the inning for an RBI. The only two outs the Clippers made offensively were productive sacrifice flies.
