Summer Ball Squad Falls in Championship

The Clipper Summer Ball squad fell to East Canton on Sunday at Firestone Park in the Mahoning Valley HS Summer League Championship game. The Clippers defeated Western Reserve and Salem to earn their spot in the game. East Canton defeated East Liverpool and Southern on their way to the championship.

The Clippers finished the summer with a 7-2 record. On the year our program competed in 62 games between our Red, White, Black and Summer squads. It was an excellent year that saw a league championship and tremendous growth from our players.

We have a few players who will be playing some tournaments throughout July so the season isn’t over for everyone but for most its time to move on to fall sports. For our players participating in fall sports, best of luck as we move through July and everyone ramps up in August. The golf season will be here in a few weeks while the regular season for Football and Soccer will start mid August. Its a great time to be a Clipper as we move ahead to the 2021-2022 season.
