Summer Clippers Rally but Fall to United 4-3

The Summer Clippers traveled to United Thursday evening to take on the Golden Eagles in summer league action.  For the third straight game the final score was 4-3 but this time the Clippers were on the short end of the scoreboard.

Trailing 3-1 in the sixth inning the Clippers chipped away with an RBI single by Brady Kridler scoring Trevor Dearing.  In the seventh inning, down by a run, the Clippers loaded the bases after Brady Dixon walked, Logan Hoschar reached on an error and Cam Sloan singled.  With two outs Joey Wilczak was hit by a pitch scoring the tying run.  However, in the bottom frame United was able to scratch out a run earning the victory.

On the day the Summer Clippers had 7 hits.  Bayden Pipoly led the way with 2 hits and a run scored.  Patrick Bender, Carson Dota and Dearing each singled.

Pitching for the Clippers were Eddie Clancy, Dearing, Wilczak and Hoschar.

The Summer Clippers are back in action on Saturday when they head to East Liverpool to take on the Summer Potters.  The game is scheduled for a Noon start.
