Columbiana travelled to Wellsville Wednesday afternoon in their season finale defeating the Tigers 13-0 in five innings. Chase Franken picked up his sixth win of the year going four innings while allowing one hit and striking out five. Evan Kenneally pitched the fifth and final frame for the Clippers.
Offensively, the Clippers collected nine hits and walked 11 times on the day. Franken led the way with three hits and two doubles. His second double was his 24th double of his career which set a new school mark for career doubles. Ryan Fahs added two hits on the day and Erik Hopfenziz chipped in with a double. Evan Kenneally and Hunter Zentner each had RBI singles while Michael Ginocchi singled in the fifth. Wayne Davis and Hopfenziz each drove in three runs for Columbiana.
The Clippers conclude their season at 14-11 with a 9-5 record in the EOAC.
