Clippers Solid in Second Scrimmage

Columbiana traveled to Bob Cene Park on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Lowellville Rockets in their second scrimmage of the season.  The Clippers continued to have a strong presence on the mound and show good patience at the plate throughout the scrimmage.

Brady Dixon, Matt Mazei and Evan Kenneally each tossed two innings for Columbiana.  On the day the three combined to give up 1 unearned run while allowing only 1 hit and walking 2.

At the plate the Clippers drew 10 walks to go along with their 10 hits.  Chase Franken and Evan Kenneally each had to hits on the afternoon.

Columbiana’s next test will be Wednesday as the Liberty Leopards come to town for a scrimmage.  First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
