Blue Jay’s defeat Clippers 9-5 Thursday afternoon

The Clippers (15-11) hosted Jackson-Milton on Thursday afternoon and fell 9-5.  The two teams battled early with the score tied at 3 in the sixth inning but errors ultimately doomed Columbiana as they gave up 6 sixth inning runs.

Zach Fahs (0-3) was the tough luck loser for the Clippers this afternoon.  Fahs pitched 5 solid innings giving up 5 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits while striking out 7.  Jake Clark and AJ Perkins also pitched for Columbiana.

Offensively, the bats were hot all day pounding out 12 hits.  Vince Vivo, Mitch Davidson, Keenan Green, Tim Davin and Josh Herbert each had 2 hits on the afternoon.  Davidson, Davin and Dylan Davin had doubles for Columbiana.

The Clippers will host Western Reserve Friday afternoon in its home finale.  The game is set for 5 pm and six Clipper seniors will celebrate their senior night.
