The Southeast Pirates (15-5) defeated Columbiana (12-8) by a score of 3-1 in non-conference action on Tuesday night. Mitch Davidson (4-1) pitched a complete game and took the loss for the Clippers. Davidson gave up 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 2 and walking 3 (1 intentional).
At the plate the Clippers had 8 hits, but lacked the key hit with runners on base. Davidson, Nate Armstrong and Jake Clark each had two hits. Clark had a double while Armstrong drove in the only run of the game.
The Clippers look to bounce back Wednesday with a game at United Local against the Eagles.
