The Columbiana Clippers (11-5, 6-1) defeated Leetonia this afternoon 11-0 and with Southern Local’s 6-5 win over Lisbon, clinched a share of the ITCL White Division. The two teams will play again tomorrow and a win will give the Clippers it’s second straight ITCL White division crown.
Jake Clark (3-2) got the start for Columbiana and picked up his third win of the season. Clark pitched a complete game 5 inning shutout. Clark gave up only 3 hits while striking out 8 and only walking 1.
At the plate, the Clippers managed to knock out 15 hits on the afternoon. Dylan Davin and Mitch Davidson led the way with each collecting three hits. Nate Armstrong, Josh Herbert and Vince Vivo all collected two hits for the Clippers with Vivo driving in two and Herbert scoring three runs.
Mitch Davidson takes the hill tomorrow at Firestone Park looking to clinch the outright championship for Columbiana. First pitch is scheduled for 5 pm.
