Columbiana (3-2, 3-0) defeated the Wellsville Tigers this evening 9-1.  The Clippers were led by another outstanding pitching performance from Mitch Davidson (2-0).  Davidson carried a perfect game into the 5th inning before giving up a leadoff single to the Tiger hitter.  On the day, Davidson dominated Wellsville hitters giving up only 1 hit and striking out 13 while walking zero.

At the plate, the Clippers pounded out 12 hits including two hits apiece from Vince Vivo, Davidson, Keenan Green, Tim Davin and Seth Ross.  Green collected a double while driving in 4 runs.  Davidson also had a double and scored 3 runs.  Zach Fahs collected his first varsity hit in the sixth inning.

The Clippers head to Wellsville tomorrow afternoon.  Jake Clark (1-1) takes the mound for Columbiana. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
