The Columbiana Clippers head to North Jackson to take on the Jackson Milton Blue Jays Wednesday March 30th, 2016.
Both teams are coming off successful campaigns in 2015. The Blue Jays finished 17-7-1 which included a loss to eventual state runner up Western Reserve in the Division IV district finals. J-M returns a number of players including experienced pitchers Eric Ostrowski and Justin Rentz.
The Clippers finished 2016 with a 16-12 record and an ITCL White Division title. Taking the bump for Columbiana will be junior Jake Clark. Clark finished 4-3 last year as a sophomore. Offensively, the Clippers return their 2-5 hitters in the lineup who look to build on successful seasons a year ago.
This will be the opener for both squads. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
