The Clippers (15-10) defeated the Lowellville Rockets 5-2 Friday Night at Cene Park in Struthers. Devin Rice (5-1) pitched six innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 12. Drew Cyrus pitched the seventh striking out 2 while earning his 3rd save of the year.
At the plate, Columbiana was led by Matt Weidner and Dylan Davin who each collected 2 hits. Tim Davin, Devin Rice and Austin Saverko all hit sacrifice flies with Saverko also adding a sacrifice bunt. Keenan Green added a double.
The Clippers host South Range on Monday in their regular season finale before tournament play begins. First pitch is 5 pm.
