The Varsity Baseball team defeated the United Eagles 13-3 in non-league action on a warm and sunny Thursday afternoon. Jake Clark (4-2) picked up the victory for Columbiana throwing five innings giving up 3 runs (2 earned) while striking out 2. Zach Frenger pitched a perfect sixth inning getting two ground outs and a strike out on only 5 pitches.
Offensively, the Clippers were led by Mitch Davidson, Devin Rice and Dylan Davin who collected two hits apiece on the afternoon. Tim Davin added a double and Nate Armstrong knocked in two runs.
Columbiana travels to Cene Park tomorrow night to take on Lowellville. First pitch is scheduled for 7 pm.
