Columbiana Varsity defeated Leetonia 10-0 Tuesday afternoon to clinch the outright ITCL White Division title. Mitch Davidson threw a complete game shut out for the Clippers allowing just three infield singles while striking out four and walking none.
Columbiana got on the board early scoring one run in the first while tacking on five in the second inning to put the game out of reach. Devin Rice was 2 for 2 on the day including a long home run over the left field fence for his first and the Clippers first of the year. Also having a good day at the plate were Keenan Green and Jake Clark who each collected two hits while Davidson hit a double and knocked in two runs on the day. Zane Adkins reached base twice once via the walk and he was also hit by a pitch.
The Clippers travel to Southern tomorrow to take on the Indians to wrap up the White Division part of their ITCL schedule. Columbiana looks to make it a perfect 8-0 in the league. First pitch is schedule for 5 pm.
